Project Overview

One of the 4th largest banks in Australia wanted to build large project team on a multi-year solution deployment project covering Enterprise Document & Content Management and Customer Communication Management Solutions (SmartComm, Alfresco & Kofax)

The Approach and Solution:

Resources

Resources across 3 projects were sourced, on-boarded and deployed within record time of 45 days
Out of 24 people, 21 proved to be highly experienced and productive & 3 got replaced within 15 days after raising red flag
Except 2 resources, rest remained in the project till the end
All the 3 project were delivered successfully and 2 were delivered on time and one was delayed by 45 days due to dependency on product enhancement

On Shore – Off Shore teams

Proposed a combination of onshore & offshore team where the onshore solution architect & project management team has been sourced and deployed and the remaining roles such as development, testing, release & support is sourced and deployed from offshore (India)

Set up the working time-zones, comprehensive governance, data & information security model and clear productivity tracking mechanism

Team Deployment

Helped deploy 3 different teams –SmartComm, Kofax & Alfresco, In total 24 resources with experience range from 3 to 18 years
